Braces Care Guide (Quick Tips)
Braces are an effective and time-tested treatment for aligning teeth and correcting bites — but they do require special care to keep your smile and appliances in top shape.
Here’s how to keep things running smoothly:
- Brushing & Flossing: Brush after every meal with a soft-bristled toothbrush. Use floss threaders or orthodontic floss to clean between teeth and around brackets.
- Foods to Avoid: Stay away from hard, sticky, or crunchy foods — like gum, popcorn, and nuts — to prevent bracket damage.
- Managing Discomfort: Mild soreness is normal after adjustments. Use orthodontic wax for irritation and over-the-counter pain relievers if needed.
- What If Something Breaks? Call us if a bracket comes loose or a wire pokes. Don’t try to fix it yourself — we’ll guide you through what to do next.

Clear Aligners Care Guide (Quick Tips)
Clear aligners offer comfort, flexibility, and discretion — but success depends on consistent use and proper care.
Follow these basics to stay on track:
- Wear Time: Aligners must be worn 20–22 hours per day, removing them only to eat, drink (except water), brush, and floss.
- Cleaning: Rinse aligners each time you remove them. Clean daily with a soft toothbrush and clear, unscented soap. Avoid hot water, which can warp the plastic.
- Storage: Always store aligners in their case when not in use — never wrap them in napkins or leave them exposed.
- Switching Aligners: Follow the schedule we provide. Skipping or delaying trays can slow or compromise your progress.
If something feels off or you’ve lost a tray, let us know immediately so we can keep your treatment on track.
